Sony Interactive Media Entertainment and PlayStation are working on new projects and have been working closely with Sony to explore new ways to expand their entertainment offerings, according to a report in the Japanese media.
According to the report, Sony Interactive is developing an entertainment platform with Sony Pictures Television, with the aim of developing and producing a new franchise of films based on the PlayStation series, titled The Last Guardian.
The project is currently in the works and is expected to be announced in the coming months.
This is the first time Sony Interactive has announced an entertainment project, and the news comes after it was announced last year that Sony Interactive was developing an interactive entertainment platform called Play, which would allow players to watch TV and movies from the PlayStation 3 system.
The company has also announced that it has teamed up with EA to develop a series of games based on its popular Battlefield franchise.
This isn’t the first collaboration between Sony and EA, as the latter is also working with the Japanese video game company to develop an entertainment product called Marvel Ultimate Alliance, which is due to launch in 2018.
