The next generation of Sonic the Hedgehog games are going to be released next year, with the first game hitting stores this fall and the second coming out in the fall.
While most of us are pretty familiar with the new Sonic the hedgehog games coming out, the first is the next generation.
That’s because Sonic Boom was originally planned to be a prequel series, which means we don’t get to see a lot of familiar faces in the first two games, like Sonic the Beast and Sonic the Knuckles.
That being said, it’s been confirmed that Sonic Boom 2 will be a completely different game, with a new cast of characters and a new story.
It’s been rumored for a while that Sonic and friends would make a cameo appearance in the next Sonic game, but those plans are officially dead.
The second game, Sonic Boom: The Animation, will be an action-adventure adventure game that follows the adventures of Sonic and his friends.
The series will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.
The first game was a pre-rendered CGI-animated movie, which we never got to see.
This is why Sonic and Amy’s robot, the Chibi-Robo, got their own film, which was an awesome experience, but I’m pretty bummed to see it go.
That movie will get its own film on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.
We’ll be sure to bring you more information about the film and other details when we get it.
