Google has suspended its services in Barcelona for one day as the city gears up for a nationwide strike on Monday.
The Internet giant said it would stop providing services in the Catalan capital from 5pm GMT (2pm IST) until 1am (3am CET) Monday and it would suspend its services across Spain and Portugal until 7pm GMT.
Google is currently under fire for dropping prices in some of its most popular products.
The company said it was “working with industry partners to address some of the issues” in Barcelona, where the price of its popular Echo speaker is expected to fall as low as £5.BARCELonasian media say Google is “slacking” in its attempts to fix its pricing.
The Catalan government says Google is selling devices at a loss.
The company has denied any wrongdoing, saying it has been following its usual policy of working with its partners to “fix pricing issues”.
