Nassau, N.M. — The New York Islanders will play four home games at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in June 2018, a day before the NHL’s season opens in Brooklyn.
The Nassau Sports and Entertainment Group announced the new date Monday.
Islanders’ President & CEO Bill Daly, Vice President of Ticket Sales Michael Gerson and General Manager Garth Snow will all report to the arena.
The franchise’s first game is scheduled for Friday, June 26, 2019.
Islanders play games at Veterans Memorial Stadium, which opened in 1946, in Brooklyn, N..y.
The team played at the Coliseum in 2013-14.
The Islanders are 4-11-3 this season.
The Coliseum is scheduled to be open from Sept. 4-21, 2019 for their season opener at home against the New York Rangers.
The season opener is scheduled on Sept. 15.
The 2017-18 Islanders will be in Buffalo for the Buffalo Sabres-New Jersey Devils game at Nassuac Center.
The 2018-19 Islanders will make their debut on Oct. 8 at Buffalo.
