The Game of Thrones episode that ended last week, “The Spoils of War,” was the most-watched episode of Season Six on HBO.
The finale saw Bran Stark’s journey through Westeros and beyond, while Jon Snow, the youngest of the Stark children, returned to the North to take up his ancestral sword, the Night’s Watch.
The episode was the highest-rated of Season Five, which ended in May.
HBO and AMC, which jointly own HBO and Cinemax, will air the finale on HBO this summer.
The HBO/Cinemax finale, titled “The Old Gods and the New,” was viewed by nearly 1.5 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic.
This marks the second consecutive season that Game of War has won the coveted title of Most-Watched Episode, following last year’s finale of the HBO drama series “The Wall.”
HBO/HBO won the title in 2015.
The Game of Throne, which follows the events of “The War of the Five Kings,” will return to HBO in 2019.
